1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using cimarisk.com (the "Site"), subscribing to any CIMA Risk product, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Site or our products. These Terms apply to all visitors, free subscribers, and paid members.
2. Who We Are and What We Provide
The Site and its products are operated by CDA Ventures Group LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company doing business as CIMA Risk ("CIMA Risk," "we," "us," or "our"). CIMA Risk is an intelligence advisory and travel risk management firm. We provide forward-looking risk analysis, briefings, and assessments. Our work is informational and advisory only.
3. Information Only, No Professional Advice
The information made available on the Site, including country and city risk overviews, threat assessments, intelligence briefings, field notes, outlooks, alerts, and any downloadable content, is provided for general informational and advisory purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, medical, financial, insurance, or other licensed professional advice, and it is not a substitute for engaging qualified professionals for your specific circumstances.
4. Advisory, Not Predictive, No Guarantee of Outcomes
CIMA Risk's products and risk assessments are forward-looking analyses based on information available at the time of publication. Conditions in the operating environments we cover, including Colombia and other jurisdictions, can change rapidly and without warning due to political instability, criminal activity, civil unrest, weather, infrastructure disruption, force majeure, or factors outside any analyst's visibility. Threat ratings, recommendations, and forecasts represent our professional judgment at the time of publication and do not guarantee any outcome. We make no representation that any threat will or will not materialize, that any route, location, or activity will be safe, or that any measure will prevent harm.
5. You Retain Decision Authority
All operational, travel, security, and personal-safety decisions remain the sole responsibility of the user, the user's organization, and any traveler or principal acting on the information. CIMA Risk does not direct travel, command security operations, or assume any duty of care beyond the scope expressly agreed in a separate written services agreement. Reliance on Site content is at your own risk.
6. Not Insurance, Not Emergency Services
CIMA Risk is an intelligence advisory and travel risk management firm. We are not an insurance carrier, an emergency medical service, an evacuation provider, or a law enforcement agency. The Site does not enroll you in any assistance, evacuation, medical, or insurance program. In an emergency, contact local emergency services and your insurance or assistance provider directly.
7. Accounts and Membership
Some features require an account, managed through our membership system. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your access credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation
We offer a free tier and paid subscription tiers. Current paid tiers are the CIMA Risk Brief at 99 dollars per month or 999 dollars per year, and the CIMA Risk Brief plus Outlook at 149 dollars per month or 1,499 dollars per year. Prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, and CIMA Risk does not store your full payment card details. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled, and by subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your payment method. You may cancel at any time through your account portal; cancellation stops future renewals and your access continues until the end of the current paid period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial periods. We may change prices or tier features, we will give notice of any price change, and the change takes effect at your next billing period.
Unsubscribing from our emails is separate from cancelling your subscription. You may stop receiving emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email without cancelling your paid plan. Neither cancelling nor unsubscribing entitles you to a refund of fees already paid.
9. Acceptable Use and Subscriber License
Subject to these Terms, paid content is licensed to you for your own personal or internal business use. This license is personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, republish, post publicly, or share paid content with non-subscribers, and you may not use any Site content to train a machine-learning model, except with our prior written permission or as allowed under Section 13.
10. No Warranties, "As Is" Basis
All content on the Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. CIMA Risk expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, currency, reliability, completeness, security, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the Site will be free of errors, defects, malware, or interruptions, or that defects will be corrected.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CIMA Risk and its members, officers, employees, contractors, advisors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including without limitation damages for personal injury, death, property loss, financial loss, business interruption, lost profits, or loss of data, arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, the Site or any content, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. These disclaimers and limitations form an essential basis of the agreement between you and CIMA Risk and apply notwithstanding any failure of essential purpose of any limited remedy.
12. Third-Party Content and Links
The Site may reference, quote, or link to third-party sources, including news outlets, government advisories (for example, U.S. Department of State or Foreign Office travel advisories), academic publications, and other research providers. We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, accuracy, or availability of any third-party material. References to government advisory levels do not imply any official affiliation with the issuing government.
13. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, country reports, risk briefings, threat ratings, methodology, code, and the CIMA Risk name and marks, is the property of CDA Ventures Group LLC or its licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other laws. No portion may be reproduced, redistributed, republished, sold, or used to train any machine-learning model without prior written permission, except for reasonable individual use clearly attributed to CIMA Risk.
14. No Engagement Created
Use of the Site, contact through the Site's forms or email links, or attendance at any free briefing does not create a client relationship, contract, or duty of care between you and CIMA Risk. A formal client engagement is established only by a signed Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work between CIMA Risk and the client.
15. Forward-Looking Statements
Statements on the Site regarding future events, threat trajectories, regional outlooks, or operational forecasts are forward-looking and based on information available at the time of writing. Such statements involve uncertainty, and CIMA Risk undertakes no obligation to update any forward-looking statement after publication.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and your use of the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Modifications take effect upon posting to the Site. Your continued use after a modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The current version is identified by the "Last Updated" date above.
