Vote day itself is historically calm at street level, and heavy security is deploying nationwide. The real exposure is compressed into Sunday 21 to Wednesday 24 June, when any post-result reaction overlaps Colombia's World Cup match on Tuesday 23 June, putting large crowds in city plazas at night regardless of the result. The southwest stays the hottest ground: an active road blockade and an explosive-device environment on the Panamericana through Cauca. A short guerrilla ceasefire lowers one threat around the vote but does not bind the dissident faction now on the offensive in rural Antioquia, and rain is closing secondary mountain roads.
